There are no additional charges for defense medical examination report preparation servicesâwe pay our own mailing, parking, etc. After we type your defense medical examination report, and produce your defense medical examination audio recording CD, we computer archive all DME nurse observer reports and audio recording files and will gladly provide additional copies at any time for free. We try to keep nurse observer cost down for you and so we recommend that, if a Response to Demand is produced for any case, you consider including the following stipulations:
The total time for examination and testing, if applicable, will not exceed two (2) hours. If any period of time exceeding thirty (30) minutes goes by when plaintiff is not being examined, either by Dr. _____ and staff, then plaintiff will be free to leave.
Plaintiff will appear at the examiner's office on _____ at the requested appointment time of _____. If the defense examination has not commenced by _____ (30 minutes later). plaintiff will consider this protracted delay to be a waiver of defendant's rights to the defense examination and will leave the medical examiner's office, pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure, Section 2032.220.
